Nine furnished display models have opened at Cherry Creek, a multifamily-home community in far north suburban Grayslake.
The Residential Homes of America development will include 140 two-story town homes and 234 of what it calls three-story courtyard homes.
The town homes range from 1,460 to 1,890 square feet and are base-priced from $145,490 to $165,990. The four floor plans include two or three bedrooms, 1 1/2 to 2 1/2 baths and attached two-car garages.
The five courtyard designs range from 1,110 to 1,650 square feet and are based-priced from $116,500 to $141,990.
They have two or three bedrooms, 1 1/2 to 2 1/2 baths, attached two-car garages and finished English basements. One of the plans also has a first-floor master suite.
As an incentive, RHA is offering finished English basements in its courtyard plans and central air conditioning, washers, dryers, ranges and garbage disposals in all homes.
Cherry Creek, which borders a forest preserve, offers a 5,000-square-foot clubhouse with exercise room, entertainment room and office center. Monthly association fees range from $66 to $106.
To visit, take Interstate Highway 94/294 north and exit Illinois Route 120 west to Atkinson Road, and go north to the property.

– KLM Builders has opened its first model at The Preserve in far northwest suburban Spring Grove.
The 2,450-square-foot Barrington II model is one of six ranch plans available at the community. Base-priced from $298,900, it has three bedrooms, including a master suite with two walk-in closets and bath with whirlpool tub. The great room has a woodburning fireplace and the breakfast area with bay windows is separated from the kitchen by wet and snack bars.
The home also includes a basement, laundry facility and three-car garage. Standard features include intercom and central vacuum systems, insulated wood windows, and ceramic tile baths.
The ranch, 1 1/2- and 2-story designs at The Preserve range from 1,800 to 4,500 square feet. They typically include three or four bedrooms, 2 or 2 1/2 baths, basements, and two- or three-car garages.

– Larkins Pointe in southwest suburban Joliet has two plans, the Chestnut and Belmont, available for six-week deliveries. The town home community will include 122 homes with two-car garages when complete.
The Belmont is base-priced at $101,490 and the Chestnut, at $115,990. Both are end units.
They include living/dining areas, master bedrooms with walk-in closets and private baths. Buyers who finance through developer Kenar LLC’s preferred lender receive a free refrigerator, washer and dryer.
The 1,144-square-foot Belmont has two bedrooms, 2 1/2 baths and a second-floor laundry area.
With 1,471 square feet, the Chestnut includes three bedrooms, 2 1/2 baths and a combined living/dining room.

– Town & Country Homes has opened sales for Traditions at Harvest Hills, a community of 302 single-family homes on 55.5 acres in west suburban St. Charles.
Nine floor plans range from 1,655 to 2,953 square feet and include two to four bedrooms, 1 1/2 to 3 baths and 2 1/2- or 3-car garages. Each home has 9-foot first-floor ceilings, a partial basement, and ceramic tile or wood floors in foyers.
To visit, take Interstate Highway 88 (East-West Tollway) to Kirk Road north to Illinois Highway 38 (Roosevelt Road). Turn west, cross the Fox River and continue past Randall Road, then turn north on Peck Road to the community.
