The road rage on the highways must be telling us something. According to all reports the economy is good, employment is up and unemployment at its lowest point. But the behavior on our streets and highways does not indicate a contented people.
I believe the frustration and anger on the roads today is an indication of people unhappy with the rat race they are experiencing. If the economy is so great, why does it take two people in one family to work in order to make it today?
The truth is that everything–from utilities to gasoline to cars–is loaded with taxes from the federal, state, county and city agencies, creating higher prices for items and services.
Our health care stinks. For example, the elderly are being drained, paying outrageous prices for medicine. Middle-class and low-income families are racing to maintain a status in a society where our leaders keep telling us everything is fine and we can make it.
Let’s be realistic. We are not much different than other countries made up of two classes, the rich and the poor.
