An ambulance rushing a woman to a hospital spent 15 minutes at a tunnel in Merseyside, England, because of a dispute over whether to pay the toll, the Lancashire Ambulance Service reported.
The ambulance, which was taking a 74-year-old woman with severe respiratory problems to a hospital in Chester on Jan 13, was delayed when a tunnel attendant demanded the $2 toll. A nurse paid it.
