Barbara J. Berger, 66, of Carol Stream, died Thursday, March 9, in ManorCare Health Services in Westmont. Born in Oak Park, Mrs. Berger was a homemaker. She also enjoyed art and produced more than 100 oil paintings. “She was an excellent artist,” said her husband, Randolph. Mrs. Berger specialized in painting roses and other flowers as well as seascapes. When painting images of the ocean, Mrs. Berger usually would rely on her recollection rather than traveling to the sea, her husband added. Other survivors include two sons, Richard and Ryan; a daughter, Randee Walker; a brother, George Wenzlaff; a sister, Faun Treichel; and six grandchildren. Services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday in Williams-Kampp Funeral Home, 430 E. Roosevelt Rd., Wheaton.
