The Plan Commission voted unanimously recently to support a concept plan for a 600-acre development being proposed to the village by Inland Development Corp. of Oak Brook.
The development, Greenside at Mill Race Creek, includes plans for 1,600 residential units with a commercial area near the intersections of U.S. Highway 34 and Douglas Road. An Inland representative said the firm expects to take 10 years to build 10 phases, extending southeast to about Wolfs Crossing and Roth Roads.
An annexation agreement and final plans have yet to be approved by the Oswego Village Board.
