Lucille A. Goro, 79, of Round Lake Beach, a former resident of Wheeling and Chicago, died Monday, March 13, in Hillcrest Retirement Village in Round Lake Beach. Mrs. Goro was raised in Chicago and graduated from St. Michael’s High School there. She was a homemaker and bookkeeper for a Chicago plumbing company until the late 1960s. She lived in Wheeling from 1994 to 1997, when she moved to Round Lake Beach. “She was a pleasant person,” said her daughter, Mary Haedtke. Other survivors include a son, Hal Engle; eight grandchildren; and 15 great-grandchildren. A visitation will be held from 3 to 9 p.m. Wednesday in Glueckert Funeral Home Ltd., 1520 N. Arlington Heights Rd., Arlington Heights. A prayer service will be said at 7 p.m. Wednesday in the funeral home. A mass will be said at 10 a.m. Thursday in St. Mary Catholic Church, 75 N. Buffalo Grove Rd., Buffalo Grove.
