I am writing in response to “Rail probe raises questions” (Page 1, March 14). As a citizen in opposition to Union Pacific’s proposed railport in Maple Park, the story of two young lives lost to the ineptness of UP employees was chilling. Their attempts to cover up and blame the victims only make matters worse. Is this the sort of company wewant to trust with the lives of our children? And isn’t it time to take the powers of eminent domain and condemnation away from Union Pacific?
