Al Gore and George W. Bush are two of the most uninspiring people ever to be presented as presidential candidates, and we should be very grateful. In times of our nation’s greatest struggles, inspiring leaders have emerged to guide us: Washington, Lincoln, FDR. When faced with strife that requires inspiration and leadership, history has always delivered us. When our nation was strong and prosperous, history gave us Harding and Clinton.

Our nation’s unprecedented prosperity is something to be treasured. If history can be used to predict the future, the selection of either Bush or Gore as our next president confirms that our nation is set for four more years of plenty.
