The questions on the census long form are intrusive and certainly no one’s business, especially the government’s. They say the answers are confidential. You do trust your government, don’t you?
The U.S. Constitution provides for a census every 10 years. This is for apportioning representatives and direct taxes. Period.
There is no reason for asking how much money you make, how you got it, your race, phone number and many more questions of a dubious nature.
All we should really provide is our address and number of people at the location. That’s all the Constitution requires.
