John Steinmiller (Voice, March 19) is absolutely right in saying PETA’s slogan “Got Beer?” is unacceptable. PETA’s movement originated from the fact that too many farm animals are pumped with antibiotics and growth-inducing hormones. But it is unnecessary to support alcohol use in lieu of supporting humane farming practices. One of the best ways of combating inhumane practices is to vote with your dollars. Make it a point to buy only organically produced milk.
