Andrew J. Dorner, 70, of Mt. Prospect, a retired maintenance worker at River Trails School District 26 in Mt. Prospect, died Saturday, March 25, in RML Specialty Hospital in Hinsdale. Born in Chicago and a graduate of Lane Technical High School there, Mr. Dorner worked more than 25 years at District 26. He repaired buses and worked on other maintenance projects for all district schools. He retired in 1992. At home, Mr. Dorner also enjoyed working on his home and gardening. “He never sat still,” said his daughter, Maria Hillebrand. “He always had to be doing something like cutting the grass, trimming the bushes or pulling weeds.” Other survivors include two sons, Andrew and Michael; a brother, Bert; a sister, Lillian Finnegan; and six grandchildren. Prayers will be said at 8:45 a.m. Tuesday in Oehler Funeral Home, 555 Lee St., Des Plaines. A mass will follow at 9:30 a.m. in Our Lady of the Wayside Catholic Church, 432 W. Park St., Arlington Heights.
