Phyllis E. Hulke, 82, a lifelong resident of Elgin, died Saturday, March 25, in Sherman West Court, a nursing home in Elgin. Mrs. Hulke worked at Elgin Tool Works for many years but quit to care for her children. A longtime member of Elgin Bible Church, Mrs. Hulke devoted her time to teaching Sunday school and child evangelism classes. “She was a good helper to many people,” recalled her sister Doris Schneider. Other survivors include another sister, Frances Schrieber, and a brother, Milton Gould. A service will be held at 10 a.m. Tuesday in Elgin Bible Church, 1580 E. Chicago St., Elgin.
