Eleanor Smith, 63, of Dixon and formerly of Wheaton, a former employee of Tyndale House Publishers in Carol Stream, died Monday, March 27, in West Chicago. Born and raised in Minonk, Ill., Mrs. Smith graduated from Minonk-Dane High School. She began working at Tyndale House, a publisher of religious literature and Bibles, in 1983 as a customer service representative and later worked in international customer service and production before leaving in 1994. Mrs. Smith’s former co-workers said she was an outstanding contributor whose performance was consistently good. Survivors include her husband, George; a daughter, Nora Emig; a son, Jay Hubbard; a stepdaughter, Deborah Meyers; three brothers, Melvin, Tony and Glenn Janssen; three grandchildren; and three step-grandchildren. Visitation will be from 9 a.m. until services at 10 a.m. Thursday in Hultgren Funeral Home, 304 N. Main St., Wheaton.
