Robert W. Curran, 68, of Elk Grove Village, died Sunday, March 26, in Northwestern Memorial Hospital in Chicago. Born in Rockford, Mr. Curran graduated from Fenwick High School in Oak Park and served from 1954 to 1956 in the Army in Germany. He was a graduate of Lake Forest College, where he received his bachelor’s degree. Mr. Curran worked for more than 30 years as a statistics officer for Kemper Insurance in Long Grove before he retired in 1994. “He was a most marvelous person,” said his wife of 43 years, Rita. Other survivors include three sons, Robert, Thomas and David; a sister, Margaret Janousek; a brother, George; and five grandchildren. A mass will be said in St. Julian Eymard Catholic Church, 601 Biesterfield Rd., Elk Grove Village.
