A fire that started late Tuesday night at Midwest Siding Supply Inc., 244 S. River St., and caused an estimated $450,000 in damage is under investigation, firefighters said. The fire started in a wood pallet storage area at the rear of the warehouse building and spread inside, where vinyl siding was stored. Firefighters put out the fire quickly, but spent four hours securing the building. No one was injured.
