Friday, April 21, is Good Friday. The following public services are affected:
– Schools: Most schools in Chicago and the suburbs will be closed Friday.
– Government offices: Chicago City Hall, Cook County and federal offices will be open.
– Postal service: Regular mail delivery.
– Courts: Federal, state and county courts will be open.
– Banks, S&Ls: Will be open, some will have reduced hours.
– Financial markets: The Chicago Mercantile Exchange, the Chicago Board of Trade, the Chicago Stock Exchange and all other financial markets will be closed or operate with very limited hours.
– Parking: Parking meter fees will be required.
– Transit: CTA, Metra and Pace will run on normal schedules Friday.
