Regarding the tactless release of the Columbine videotape, with its ill-conceived “soundtrack,” I dearly hope that the musical artists featured on the tape will protest the use of their songs. It is unclear whether the songs were used with permission–if they were not, the tape is an illegal venture in addition to being a tasteless, hurtful record of deranged, despicable behavior. Maybe this legal snag would be enough to pull this reprehensible video off the market and take all profits from its manufacturer’s pockets.
