Something must be done about road rage–by whatever name it goes.
Uncommon politeness must be taught or caught by the young who are allowed drivers’ licenses before they are dry behind their ears.
I could tell a bunch of stories, but I think that this is the worst (so far)!
I was driving slowly toward a corner where I was to turn. Why?
Because there was a motorized wheelchair in front of me, the operator of which also had an umbrella in his hand.
Along comes an uncouth character behind me and leans on his horn.
Was I supposed to ride over the poor crippled man just to get out of the kid’s way?
There are driver-training classes in high schools. Maybe we should retrain the trainers.
Driving is not simply getting behind a wheel and moving a car.
Also needed are good judgment, politeness, patience–or, in short, “do unto others.”
Or is that passe?
