Beginning today, we are pleased to provide our readers with the “Chicago Planet Watch” as part of the Chicago Digest. The information, provided by the Cernan Earth and Space Center at Triton College, includes planet rise and set information plus each planet’s location in the sky as viewed from the Chicago area. Best viewing time, direction to look and position of the planet in degrees above the horizon (0(degrees) is on the horizon and 90(degrees) is directly overhead) is included. Please note that there will be times when planets trek across Chicago skies during daylight hours and are not visible.
