Bill Passero says he is almost ready to build three condominium buildings in Westmont but just needs a little more time to finalize plans.

The Westmont Village Board agreed Monday to give Passero, owner and operator of the Clarendon Hills-based Passero Builders, another year to break ground on his Courtyards of Westmont project, which would feature three brick 12-unit, three-story buildings on 3 acres near the northeast corner of 63rd Street and Fairview Avenue.

Although Passero’s plans were approved by the village in July with the stipulation he begin construction within one year, he said he has been busy with other projects. He said he expects to start work on the project this fall.

Passero said the units would be priced around $200,000.
