I was extremely disappointed in the biased May 27 editorial “Inmate’s death needs full probe” in that it “cries out for answers and quickly.”

I, too, have several questions: If there is a cover-up, why did the altercation take place in a room within earshot of a full courtroom, including the victim’s wife? What provoked this altercation? What was the victim’s state of mind? What about the other side of the story? Do you have time for that?

I agree this needs a “full probe,” but that certainly can’t be done quickly. Of course a criminal record doesn’t justify a death sentence, but let’s not rush to judgment and create three more victims.
