David R. Bennorth, 58, of Elk Grove Village died of cancer Friday, June 9, at Vitas Hospice Care in Alexian Brothers Medical Center in Elk Grove Village. Born in Chicago, Mr. Bennorth worked more than 20 years as a plastic molds designer at Heinz Plastic Molds in Elk Grove Village. For the last several years, Mr. Bennorth was a self-employed design consultant. Mr. Bennorth enjoyed the outdoors and over the years traveled with his family to 28 states and camped along the way. “We didn’t stay in a hotel until we were in our teens,” recalled his daughter Jennifer. “He was the kindest man you would ever meet.” Other survivors include another daughter, Juli Hammershoy; a brother, Roger; and two grandchildren. A service will be held at 10 a.m. Tuesday in Grove Memorial Chapel, 1199 S. Arlington Heights Rd., Elk Grove Village.
