Irene Wever, 82, of Rolling Meadows was a homemaker who had served with the Women’s Army Air Corps in the North Africa campaign during World War II. Mrs. Wever, who was born in Detroit, died Sunday, June 11, in Northwest Community Hospital, Arlington Heights. “She lived a real good life, an interesting life,” said her son, Michael E. “She was a strong lady but decided to be a homemaker and raise her family rather than follow a career. She had part-time jobs but not a career. She took care of her family.” Other survivors include her husband, Raymond C., and a daughter, Barbara A. A visitation will be held from 3 to 8 p.m. Tuesday in Community Church of Rolling Meadows, 2720 Kirchoff Rd., Rolling Meadows. A service will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday in the Rolling Meadows church.
