As a result of Village Hall crowding and uncertainty about leases at the village-owned Activity Center, the board of trustees voted unanimously Monday to hire an architectural firm to analyze government office needs and identify potential options.

Williams and Associates of Wheaton would be paid no more than $32,000 to conduct the three-stage analysis, which will look at current facilities, future needs and potential options, said Village Administrator Robert L. Nelis Sr.

The study is expected to be completed this summer, he said.
