If moors, heather and the Bronte sisters are your cup of tea, then England’s Yorkshire should be just your ticket. Camp is in full swing between June 12 and Aug. 26 at the Grand Traverse Resort and Spa in northern Michigan. While parents play at the spa or the golf course, children ages 6-12 can enroll at Camp Traverse, which offers themed weeks with a full slate of activities for $35 a day or $130 a week. The Northbrook-based Dawn Schuman Institute for Jewish Learning has added a tour of France to its lineup of Jewish Legacy Tours. The Oct. 18-Nov. 5 trip begins in Paris and ends in Nice and will be escorted by Rabbi David Silverman. The tour emphasizes Jewish history and includes stops at the Jewish museum in Paris and several synagogues in the South of France, but also hits other major highlights.
