Grace Ann Rosen, 90, of Des Plaines died Friday, June 16, in Holy Family Medical Center in Des Plaines. A lifelong resident of Des Plaines, Mrs. Rosen was a homemaker. She served as a volunteer in the Women’s Relief Corps during World War II. She taught Sunday school for many years in First United Methodist Church in Des Plaines. During the 1970s, Mrs. Rosen was a dress model at Cynthia’s Dress Shop in Des Plaines. In her spare time, Mrs. Rosen told fortunes by reading cards for her friends and family, a talent that she is said to have learned from her mother. “She was very accurate,” said her friend of 36 years, Terri Surovitz, who added, “She was one of the nicest people you could ever meet.” Survivors include a daughter, Dee Dee. A service was held Monday.
