This is in reference to “Trees near jail suffer unkindest cut of all” (Page 1, June 14). By coincidence I recently had a tree of similar height removed from my property. I also paid to have the stump grinded and the debris removed. The cost: $185 complete. Perhaps the “unkindest” part of your story is that the General Services Administration paid $500 to $600 per tree for the same job.
