Marcella K. Miessler, 95, of Carol Stream, a former longtime resident of Elmhurst, died Saturday, June 24, in the DuPage Convalescent Center in Wheaton. A resident of Windsor Park Manor, Mrs. Miessler was an active member of the Redeemer Lutheran Church in Elmhurst for more than 52 years, singing in the church choir and participating in various women’s activities. She moved to Carol Stream in 1987. She was a past member of the Elmhurst Garden Club, a past president and member of the Elmhurst Women’s Choral Club and a member of the PEO, Elmhurst chapter. Mrs. Miessler is survived by two daughters, Carol Sabin and Barbara Spencer; five grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren. Visitation will be from 12:30 p.m. until services at 1 p.m. Thursday in St. John Lutheran Church, 125 E. Seminary Ave., Wheaton.
