Louise E. Peacock, 83, of Elk Grove Village, a former longtime resident of Arlington Heights, died Sunday, June 25, in Vitas Hospice Care at Alexian Brothers Medical Center, Elk Grove Village. Born in Chicago, Mrs. Peacock raised her family in Arlington Heights and spent her retirement volunteering at senior citizen centers in Arlington Heights and Elk Grove Village. “She was very family-oriented,” recalled her grandson Todd Peacock, who added that his grandmother often told stories about the family’s history. Other survivors include a brother, John Schraffenberger; two more grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren. A gathering of friends and family will take place from 12:30 to 3 p.m. Thursday in Christus Victor Lutheran Church, 1045 S. Arlington Heights Rd., Elk Grove Village. Services will follow at 3 p.m. in the church.
