I read with interest Kathleen Parker’s June 14 column, “Disney videos harbingers of peace.” Simply because a movie is animated and/or made by Disney doesn’t necessarily mean it is appropriate for children. If you do not want your children to watch a particular video because of violence, don’t buy it.
I believe that TV can be a wonderful teaching tool or a terrible toy. A child needs an adult to make that distinction.
