William “Bill” Boscamp, 84, of Eagle River, Wis., formerly of Prospect Heights, retired in 1978 as a residential and commercial plumber in Illinois after 45 years of service. Mr. Boscamp, a Chicago native, died Monday, June 26, in Eagle River. Mr. Boscamp served in the U.S. Army in the Aleutian Islands during World War II. “He was the most wonderful husband and father,” said his son Don. “He cared most about his family. He was a master plumber, a woodworker and a fisherman. He loved nature. He loved children. He taught us many things.” Survivors include his wife, Shirley; two daughters, Carol Williams and Diane Dougherty; two more sons, William J. and Jim; eight grandchildren; and a great-grandson. A service will be held Thursday in Eagle River.
