Benjamin L. “Benny” Staton, 73, native of Chicago, IL, late of Las Vegas, NV, passed away suddenly, July 11, 2000, beloved husband of the late Mary T. Staton; dear son of the late Wilbur and Lillian Staton; loving father of Benjamin (Beth) Staton, Charles (Diane) Staton, Mary Lou (Bill) Taylor, Michael Staton, Suzanne (Joe) Bernardi and Penny (Michael) O’Leary; fond grandfather of Diana, Dana, David, Jeffrey, Matthew, Megan, Bradley, Brittany, Nina, Katie and Tommy; dear brother of Marilyn (Fred) Melkey, Don (Grace) Staton, Carolyn Kelly and Charlene (Bill) Zelko; dear uncle to many nieces and nephews. Service will be private in Las Vegas. Memorial Service will be held in Chicago, IL, Sunday, August 27, 2000 at Theis-Gorski Funeral Home, 3517 N. Pulaski Road, 1 to 3 p.m.
