History: This breed is believed to have been derived from the Japanese chin, Papillon and Maltese and was owned by royalty in ancient Malaysia.
Recognized: Though of ancient lineage, it was made official in 1992.
Looks like: This pup has a Fu Manchu mustache and beard, is 6 to 7 1/2 inches high, 4 to 6 pounds. It has an apple dome head and ears with fringe. Its plush coat is most often gold and white or red and white.
