If you’ve got 15 to 50 hours to kill this weekend, why not charge up to Mackinac Island? That’s how long it takes the typical contestant to complete the Chicago Yacht Club’s Race to Mackinac, the world’s oldest freshwater yacht race. Over 300 boats compete Saturday in the 102-year-old, 333-mile race. Staggered starts begin at noon, continuing at 10-minute intervals until 2 p.m. Competing boats will parade past Navy Pier from 10 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Call 312-861-7777 or visit www.chicagoyachtclub.com.
