The article “Failed lung transplants vex Loyola” (Page 1, July 14) has vexed me immeasurably. As a Loyola lung recipient of one year, I question the purpose of this negative article.

Was Jeremy Manier’s objective to insult Loyola’s program and/or to discourage future patients by having them seek out-of-state surgery, which I could not have afforded? If Loyola had problems in the past, they have taken the necessary steps to improve the situation.
