When Van Gogh cleaned out his basement, did discarded still-life ear-and-apple paintings wind up in his trash? Too bad that in his day there was no such thing as the Suburban Fine Arts Center Recycled Art Sale, which opens with an auction at 6:30 p.m. Friday at 1913 Sheridan Rd. in Highland Park.
