Cary’s Board of Zoning, Planning and Appeals has postponed until Aug. 10 a public hearing on a development proposal that would bring 97 condominiums and 50 single-family homes to the village.

Board Chairman David Giangrossi convened a board meeting Thursday night just long enough to announce that the proposed Sterling Ridge subdivision would not be discussed until the board’s next meeting.

The subdivision would be located on 43 acres along Silver Lake Road north of Adare Street. The land is zoned for low-density residential use, but the developer is seeking a change to allow for the plan’shigher number of units.
