George Auer, age 89, of Marco Island, FL, and formerly of Chicago, passed away August 11, 2000, beloved husband of the late Helen, nee Gorski; son of the late Margaret, nee Holtz, and Joseph; loving father of Dori Weber of Marco Island, FL, and George F. Auer of Cary, IL; devoted grandfather of Denise, Shelley and Neil Auer of Illinois and Ryan C. Weber of Florida; cherished uncle of many nieces and nephews; brother of the late Nicholas, Michael, Joseph, Margaret Morgan, Elizabeth Stoesser and Anna Auer. Funeral Wednesday, 11 a.m., at Smith-Corcoran Funeral Home, 185 E. Northwest Hwy., Palatine. Interment Ridgewood Cemetery.
