The author of the Aug. 20 editorial “The special prosecutor’s bad choice” apparently overlooks the fact that when one commits perjury, a felony results. To brush this off as a minor infraction of the law is no small issue. Swearing to tell the truth “so help me God” is basic to maintaining the rule of law.
Perhaps a grand jury indictment leading to a genuine trial and conviction of the last president of these United States of America during the last century may restore a respect for our judicial system.
This is the legacy Bill Clinton truly deserves.
