Decorated models and a sales center have opened at Caton Ridge, a 218-home development by Neumann Homes in southwest suburban Plainfield Township.

The model homes are the Somerville, base-priced at $156,995; the Mayfield, base-priced at $159,995; the Providence, $166,995; and the Coventry, $178,495. The Parker, base-priced at $185,995, doubles as the sales center.

The Somerville, which comprises 1,753 square feet, has three bedrooms, 1 1/2 baths, loft, kitchen with dinette, and a full basement. A master bath is optional.

With 1,925 square feet, the Mayfield has three bedrooms, 2 1/2 baths, second-floor laundry, game room, kitchen with pantry, and a basement.

The Providence has four bedrooms and 2 1/2 baths in its 2,204 square feet. The home also has a game room, second-floor laundry room, living/dining room, family room, kitchen with dinette, and basement.

The Coventry, which has 2,334 square feet, has four bedrooms, 2 1/2 baths, second-floor laundry and game room, kitchen with walk-in pantry, family room and basement.

The Stonewood is a 2,494-square-foot, four-bedroom, 2 1/2-bath home. Each bedroom has a walk-in closet. Other features include kitchen with dinette, library, family room, living/dining rooms and a basement. It is base-priced from $181,495.

The Parker, which is the sales center, has 2,765 square feet. The four-bedroom, 2 1/2-bath home has a family room, kitchen with pantry and separate dinette area, library, game room and second-floor laundry. A three-car garage is optional.

Caton Ridge is at Caton Farm Road and Caton Ridge Drive. To visit, take Interstate Highway 55 to Illinois Highway 126 west to Illinois Highway 59, south to Caton Farm Road. Turn west 1 1/2 miles to Caton Ridge Drive. Turn south to the models.

– Two penthouses are available at North Park Manor, a development by Waterside Construction in Chicago’s Old Town neighborhood.

The units are priced at $699,000 with possession planned for late September to mid-October.

Each of the penthouse units, at 1452 N. North Park Ave., has more than 2,700 square feet of living space on two floors.

The main level contains the living and dining area, highlighted by red oak hardwood floors with inlaid borders, deep crown moldings and a woodburning fireplace with wood mantle and stone surround.

Kitchens have Riverton Classic cherry cabinets and Frigidaire Gallery appliances in stainless steel finish. There also are granite countertops with undermounted double bowl stainless steel sinks.

A separate laundry room with side-by-side washer and dryer is near the kitchen.

Two bedrooms and two full baths are also on the main floor, while the upper level has a lofted master bedroom suite with gas fireplace, walk-in closets and dressing areas.

Baths have marble finishes and the master bath has a 6-foot whirlpool tub, double-bowl vanity with seating area and a walk-in steam shower with marble bench.

The upper level of each penthouse also leads to a private deck.

– Village Green Condominiums in north suburban Lincolnshire has opened its first display model.

The plan, with two bedrooms, a den and two baths, has 1,941 square feet of living area and two balconies. The furnished model is designed by William Frosolone Interior Design of Chicago

When completed, the development by Weiss Development Group, will have 108 two- and two-bedroom-plus units in three midrise buildings on 8.33 acres near Lincolnshire’s downtown.

The second building, now under construction, will have 52 units with two bedrooms or two bedrooms plus den. They will have 2 to 2 1/2 baths.

Condos range in size from 1,470 to 2,430 square feet. Pre-construction base prices range from $235,000 to $436,000.

Three units remain for sale in Phase I.

Phase II offers nine designs, three of which are new and others that are larger versions of the most popular plans in Phase I. The units have in-unit laundry/storage rooms with washtub.

Phase II amenities include formal entries with coffered ceilings and ceramic tile or wood floors and a choice of berber or plush carpeting in living areas. Some units offer fireplaces and bay windows with light transoms.

The sales center is in downtown Lincolnshire in the Spectrum Office Centre, 175 Olde Half Day Road, one block north of Illinois Highway 22 and one block east of Milwaukee Aveneue.

– Ryland Homes is offering financing incentives on town homes that are ready for immediate occupancy at Greenwich Square in west suburban Geneva.

Buyers who finance through Ryland Mortgage will receive up to five points toward their financing, said Robert Meyn, vice president of sales and marketing for Ryland Homes. They also will have two years’ worth of association fees paid.

The selection of models available for immediate occupancy includes several Cromwell floor plans. The Cromwell is a second-floor ranch plan with 1,466 square feet of living space, which includes two bedrooms, two full baths and a two-car garage.

Greenwich Square offers a total of five floor plans–three ranch and two two-story designs. They range from the Ascott, starting at $145,990 to $147,990, to the Dartmouth, based-priced from $167,990 to $172,990.

All of the 129 town homes planned have two or three bedrooms. Fifteen single-family homes also are available starting at $264,990.

There also are incentives on new construction, including 50 percent off options up to $7,500.

To visit Greenwich Square, take Interstate Highway 88 west to Farnsworth, north to Roosevelt Road (Illinois Highway 38), west to Bricher Road and the community.

The sales office, at 2127 Vanderbilt Drive (just each of Randall Road, off Bricher), is open Tuesday through Sunday from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m., and on Mondays 1 to 6 p.m.

– A model is available and two spec homes are to be built at Judd Farm, a Kennedy Homes development of 14 single-family homes in west suburban Batavia.

In addition to the 3,083-square-foot model home, which serves as the development’s sales office, two inventory homes will be built on the remaining pair of unpurchased lots.

The homes at Judd Farm, from six floor plans, are all two-story with four bedrooms and 2 1/2 baths, and range from 2,526 to 3,502 square feet.

One of the spec homes will be of Plan 3983, the same as the completed model, and is priced at $272,289. The other plan, the 3202, is priced at $288,394. The model is priced at $284,900. All three homes have garden basements and are on premium lots.

The same six floor plans are offered at Campton Crossing, between Wasco and St. Charles. They range in size from 2,526 to 3,502 square feet, with base prices from $246,900 to $273,900.

Among standard items at Judd Farm and Campton Crossings are basements, two-car garages, wall-to-wall carpeting, asphalt driveways and sodded front and side yards.

Kitchens have General Electric Potscrubber dishwashers, gas ranges and refuse disposers, as well as stainless steel double-bowl sinks.

Baths offer one-piece tub-shower units and cultured-marble vanity tops. Master baths have soaking tubs. Kitchens and baths have vinyl flooring and Aristocraft wood cabinets.

Upgrades include woodburning fireplaces, three-car garages, whirlpool tubs, skylights, ceramic and/or wood flooring and masonry exteriors.

Judd Farm is on Hart Road, 1 1/2 miles north of Butterfield Road (Illinois Highway 56) in Batavia. Sales hours are 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Tuesday through Sunday, and noon to 5 p.m. on Monday.

Campton Crossing is off North Avenue (Illinois Highway 64) at LaFox Road, 3 miles west of Randall Road.
