The final phase of the 3rd Street improvement project, including construction of sidewalks and installation of lighting, is scheduled for completion by Oct. 13.
Additional public parking at the proposed 3rd Street Plaza is the subject of a public hearing on the land exchange between the city and Shodeen Inc. for the former Seigel site. The hearing is scheduled for Oct. 16 at 6:55 p.m. in City Council chambers.
The city is working with Metra to obtain funding for parking at that location as well as a possible future parking deck on the property.
