The theme of this special Travel section of the Tribune Magazine is Unexpected Pleasures. For parents, an unexpected pleasure would be if those voices coming from the back seat weren’t screaming:

“Randy won’t stay on his side of the car!”

“Toni spit on me!”

“Alan just spilled his pop all over the dog!’

And, of course, everyone’s favorite:

“HOW MUCH LONGER TILL WE GET THERE?”
