W.L. “Bill” Schmidt, died at home in Chicago on September 8, 2000, he was born July 21, 1926 in Bluffs, IL, he was a U.S. Army Officer during WWII, he had a masters degree from University of Illinois and retired from Carter and Holmes in 1991, he is survived by his sister Mary; a niece; a nephew; five great-nieces and three great-nephews. He was laid to rest September 12, 2000, at Roselawn Memorial Park, outside Springfield, IL. Condolences c/o James Upton, 7349 N. Ridge, Chicago, IL 60645.
