Robert J. Rimnac, of Downers Grove, IL, beloved husband of Helen J.; loving father of Carolyn (Russel) Wackenhut, Maddy (Edward) Mrkvicka and Penny (Charles) Derer; cherished grandfather of five; great-grandfather of three. A veteran of WW II. From Nov. 1942-1945 was on Utah Beach on D-Day in Normandy. A member of AARP Downers Grove Chapter #104 Past President. Instrumental in forming SALT (Seniors and Law Enforcement Together). He was an avid fisherman and gardener. Retired from Pepperidge Farm Bakery as a Charter Member employee. As a youth he was in the Boy Scouts and was a Boy Scout Commissioner in his twenties. His warm sense of humor brought joy to all who knew him.
