Herbert W. “Buck” Talsma, age 78, longtime resident of Oak Lawn, recently of Tinley Park, beloved husband of Doris, nee Klinckman; cherished father of Susan (Richard) Slisz, Thomas (Stacy) and Sally (Glenn) Laws; fond stepfather of Carol (John) Kilstrom, Gary (Vicky) Johnson, Diane Johnson and David Johnson; beloved “Grandpa Joe” of Lisa Laws and Billy Slisz, David and Andy Talsma; stepgrandfather of Eric and Brandon Kilstrom and Damien Johnson; and loving great-grandfather of Drake and Dylan Laws; preceded in death by his parents, George N. and Lydia J., nee Heilman, Talsma; sisters Lucille (Alex) Metz and Jeanette (Cornelius “Corky”) Ruiter and his former wife Dorothy, nee Hansen, Talsma; fond uncle to many nieces and nephews.
