Cars, bicycles and computers are among the items to be sold at the Lake County auction.
Surplus equipment from Fox Lake, Grayslake, Gurnee, Hawthorn Woods, Lake County, Lake Zurich, Libertyville, Lindenhurst, Vernon Hills and Waukegan will be sold to the public at the municipal auction.
Among the items on the block will be police cars, pickup trucks, dump trucks, a street sweeper, a sewer truck, a 65-passenger bus, a 32-foot trailer, a tractor, a skid-steer, a mower, tools and appliances. In addition, computers and office equipment, car stereos, amplifiers, speakers, CDs, jewelry, watches, leather jackets and bikes will be sold by Obenauf Auction Services.
Inspection of the items will be held from 4 to 7 p.m. Friday, and the auction will be held at 8 a.m. Saturday at the Lake County Division of Transportation, 600 Winchester Rd.
