Robert “Bob” Brausch, 76, of Lawrence, MI, died Oct. 1, 2000 at Lakeview Hospital in Paw Paw, MI. Bob was born Feb. 23, 1924 in Hessville, IN to Jacob “James” and Catherine Brausch. Moved from Addison, IL to Lawrence, MI in 1969. Visitation will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday, Oct. 4 at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, Hartford, MI, of which he was a member. Funeral Mass following at 12 noon (Eastern Std. Time). Burial will be in Hill Cemetery, Lawrence. Preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Frank, Joseph, James and Charles; sister, Vivian Chapman; and his son, Robert J. “Bob” Brausch, VBCS Sheriff and Lawrence firefighter. WWII Veteran of Battery B 226, Anti Aircraft Artillery Searchlight Battalion, Rank of Army Sergeant. Received three promotions in one day. Member American Legion Hess Eastman Post #174. Worked for Du Wel, Bangor and Du Tang, Paw Paw, Die Cast Press, Hartford. Loving husband of 52 years to Tina; beloved father of Marie (Jerry) Wiermanski, Nancy (Mace) Burt, James, Steve (Denise), Annette and Larry (Tina); beloved brother to Celeste Balog, Catherine (Chester) Huber, Rose Tetters and Richard (Shirley); loving grandfather to 12; great-grandfather to six; cherished uncle to many nieces and nephews.
