Marirob D. Hurley, nee Downes, age 60, of Inverness, passed away September 28, 2000, in Wascott, WI, loving wife for 36 years of Robert; cherished mother of Robert of San Francisco, CA, Bridget of Denver, CO, Kevin of New York, NY, Kathleen of Bellingham, WA, and Patrick of Inverness, IL; devoted daughter of George and Valerie Downes of Sun City, AZ; beloved sister of Valerie (Joseph) Downes Lusco of Chicago, IL, William (Debbie) Downes of Kona, HI, and Sharon Claire Chojnacki of Wascott, WI; fond aunt of many. After Mrs. Hurley married in 1964, she embarked on her one true career as a wife and mother to her five children. She lovingly instilled in her two daughters the values of Catholic womanhood and endowed her three sons with the principles of honesty and rigorous integrity she cherished in her own life. To her husband she joyfully gave the loyalty, devotion and deep faith so characteristic of her core spiritual values. Funeral Wednesday, 10 a.m., from Smith-Corcoran Funeral Home, 185 E. Northwest Hwy, Palatine, to Holy Family Catholic Church, 2515 W. Palatine Rd., Inverness, for Mass at 10:30 a.m. Interment Calvary Cemetery, Evanston.
