When drivers have to renew their licenses, it is a traumatic experience for many. Those testing for renewal should be treated with understanding and kindness at the secretary of state testing facilities.
I took my mother to renew her license at the Deerfield facility. I found rudeness and indifference on the part of testing employees and indifference on the part of the facility’s supervisory staff. Secretary of State Jesse White should institute sensitivity training for all employees on his staff.
I don’t question the testing or the final results, only the atmosphere of rudeness.
