Michael Martirano, Sr., 67 years, of Glen Ellyn, passed away peacefully at his home of a lung ailment, beloved husband of Diane; dear father of Dr. Michael M.D., Jr. (Valerie) and Angela (Glenn) Hookham; fond brother of Sam (Paulette), the late Anthony and Joseph; loving Papa of Nicholas, Samantha, Michelle and Gina; devoted son-in-law of Rose and the late George Greenholt; brother-in-law of George (Sandy) Greenholt; fond uncle and cousin of many. Member of Meat Cutter’s Union Local #189 and founder of Michael Finer Meats in Lombard. Former owner of F.J. Furniture/Upholstery World of Lombard. Avid outdoorsman, big game hunter and fisherman in Africa and North America. Member of Safari Club International. Life member of NRA. Resting at Williams-Kampp Funeral Home, 430 E. Roosevelt Rd. (1 block East of Naperville Rd.), Wheaton, Wednesday, 3 to 9 p.m. Funeral Thursday, 9:15 a.m. to St. James the Apostle Church. Interment Queen of Heaven.
